An Honest Conversation

Character is introduced. She realizes that she wants to go on a path of self discovery because she has only been thinking about her superficial traits. The conversation is with her mirror image (herself). She's been wanting this conversation for sometime, the desire to look within herself has now gripped her like a fever. She is convincing the image to let her inside her mind, saying she will be fine and she will take utmost care to be kind to herself during this journey. She's tired of meaningless conversations, small talk and of trying to seek approval and comfort from strangers who are no longer able to offer her any words of meaning.
She also forewarns the image that the journey could probably have a few dark stretches that will leave her wanting to run back to safety and comfort, but she needs to be determined because soon her ignorance will be gone and it will actually help her come out of the darkness.
So thus she convinces herself that she needs nothing more than to go on this journey.
