We are often encouraged to pursue the truth behind everything. To uncover what lies beneath the surface, to dig deeper and to find our true self. We walk on this path, guided by a light, that promises us all the answers we seek. And we believe that somehow, getting to that point will make everything better. Things will fall into place and the pieces of the puzzle will finally make sense.

But facing the truth isn’t always easy. It takes a lot of courage to look at our true, naked selves, with all our fears and weaknesses, that we shield from the outside world. What happens when you chase the light, like a madman, and when you finally get to it, you realize you don't exactly feel how you thought you would? It makes you uncomfortable and you catch yourself wishing you'd never gotten here.Perhaps you were better off living in ignorance. Because earlier you didn't know who you were. But now, you're doubting everything that you are. And the very light that guided you, now paralyzes you.

Is this what you wanted? Is this the path you set off on?

The truth is difficult.
